René Lannoy dans son atelier

He is enthusiast about the Brussels Grand Place and its luxuriant face. You could find Lannoy almost every day on the "Grand Place". He lives now in a small village in the South of France (Gard) where you can see his etchings, paintings and watercolors.

Lannoy's work ranges between academicism, essential to a good artistic background, and expressionism, "in the tradition of Goya", according to Stephen Rey, a Brussels Art Critic. Jean Bouret, from the magazine "Les Lettres Françaises", in Paris, sees Lannoy as a « pamphleteer ».
